Serving Salem since 1733

I'm New

Welcome to St Peter's-San Pedro

We are delighted to introduce you to our diverse parish community. Founded in 1733, St Peter’s-San Pedro has a rich history of Christian worship and service in and around Salem.

We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory on their own timeline and in their own way.

We are blessed to be a diverse community of faithful Christians who gather to praise God and pray for and serve our world in the name of Jesus Christ through the Episcopal Church, a member church of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. We do this in two languages to serve our vibrant community of English and Spanish speaking members. We hope you will accept our warm and heartfelt invitation for you to join us, no matter where you are on your personal journey of faith.

Join us for our Sunday services, become a volunteer in any or all of our outreach programs, and help us grow our community or preserve our history. Your presence with us will be a true blessing!

If you would welcome the opportunity to have a personal introduction to our community, please call our Rector to set up a time to visit. Otherwise, please join us any Sunday or at any of our community service events to learn more about who we are and how we can live, pray and serve God together.

What To Expect

A typical service will last about an hour. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music  that is led by our amazing director of music, Javier Márquez.

Our single bilingual service on the last Sunday of each month meets at 10:30am and offers a bilingual Sunday School that meets in the undercroft. We also offer a healing liturgy at the bilingual service where everyone who feels called can come forward for the laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing.

Children are always welcome at St Peter´s-San Pedro regardless of noise or energy level (we understand that our rector was a handful when young). There are toys and children's books in the 2nd pew from the rear on the left side in case that is helpful.

Please join us after the service for fellowship and meeting new people in our adjoining parish hall, accessible through the front, left side of the church.

Restrooms are located in the undercroft or the next door parish hall. Both of these areas are accessible from the front left door of the church. Simply walk through the sacristy, down the stairs and across the hall or downstairs.

At all of our services, gluten-free bread is available upon request at the altar. One can receive both bread and wine or simply the bread as is their preference, and anyone wishing to have Holy Communion brought to them at their seat instead of at the altar need only to make their desire known to the priest or a server during The Peace.

We look forward to meeting you!
